Fun With Paverplast!

Let's have some fun with Paverpol's Paverplast!

We got to have some fun with 2 Paverpol products that I
have not used before...Paverplast and Paversand.

This month we received a box containing a few items to create with...think of the food
show Chopped...we got Paverpol transparent, the plast,
sand, some Paver powder and form...then we get to create something using the products.

I chose to cut my form so that I could have a flat back piece.

Mixing 500g of transparent PP and 100g of PP Plast I created a stiff mixture
to cover the form with..I saved an old bucket to mix and store the
compound in.

I wanted to add the sand in as well as some of the PaverColor so
I put it in a smaller container so I could get the consistancy where I wanted it.
The PaverColor turned it gray rather than antique gold...
so I think I messed up adding it in at that point.

I covered the half form with my mixture...since I wanted it to look more like
a dress, I left the long lines in it.

I left it to dry for almost 2 days, then started to paint.
I used 4 different shades of gold. It is hard to get that in a photo but
in person you can see the different shimmers.
After that dried for a half day I added black...wiping most of it off.

While the form was drying I started on my canvas.
Taking a 12 x 16 canvas I used PP Cotton and transparent PP
to attach to the canvas.

I used some gold sprays to add some color to the cotton.
Using transparent PP I attached it to the canvas.
The picture of the wings turned out horrible...but using a printed copy of digital
wings with a piece of plastic over it I "drew" the wings with
PP in a bottle and before drying I added glitter and PP Color.
I also added 2 scriptures about Angels.

Beautiful Moments Canvas

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with a beautiful moments canvas.

I began by using Pavercotton which is a cotton fiber.  I pulled apart the Pavercotton then dunked it in Transparent Paverpol.  After squeezing out the excess Paverpol, I placed the strips on the canvas, then moved them about the canvas until I created a pattern I liked.

As the Pavercotton dried, it created a nice 3 dimensional pattern.  Look at all that texture!

Once dry, I spritzed assorted colors of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists about the canvas.  So the colors stayed true, I heat set between each color.

To decorate, I added several flowers to the upper corner.

Finally, I adhered a clothes pin to the canvas and used it to hold a beautiful moments tag.

I'm loving all the texture on this canvas.

What do you think?

New Year's Decorations

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with some decorations I created to bring in the New Year.

I placed fabric into Transparent Paverpol.  After completely soaking the fabric, I pulled it out and squeezed out the excess Paverpol.

Then I wrapped the fabric around the glass, creating dimension as I wrapped it.

I added a light coating of Paverpol around the exposed glass.  Once it dried, I had this amazing crackle appearance.

Once the fabric dried, I spritzed several colors of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists on the hardened fabric.

I added a string of beads around the hardened fabric for visual interest.

I created the picks by die cutting cardstock and placing a layer of Rinea Foil on top for some shimmer and shine.

What do you think?  While I created this for New Year's, you can also create this for any kind of party celebration.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Holiday Napkin Rings

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today.  Can you believe Christmas is only 2 days away?  Are you ready?  I have to say, I'm as ready as I'm going to be.  My last project for this year is a set of napkins rings for the holiday dinner table.

I began by taking a paper towel tube and covering it with plastic wrap.  The plastic wrap will allow you to easily remove the paper towel tube once the Paverpol has dried.

Next, I cut fabric slightly bigger than the tube and placed it in Transparent Paverpol

After squeezing out the excess Paverpol, I wrapped it around the paper towel tube.

I allowed it to dry overnight.  Then I was able to pull the tube out.

Using the Proxxon Jig Saw, I cut the Paverpol tube into 4 pieces.

I love the variety of details on the individual rings so I simply spritzed them inside and out with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.  As they dried, each one took on a different look based on how the Paverpol set.

Once dry, I wrapped each piece with gold May Arts ribbon and added some pearl twine.  They look so festive!

Don't they look amazing?

Thanks for stopping by today.

Simple Cuff

This is the most simple project I have made to date with

I made a simple cuff...that can be embellished
if I want to.

I started out with a small piece of scrap material...
using a paint brush I added transparent Paverpol to it.
Making sure is was covered all over.

I ended up adding s few extra scraps of material and folding
it up inside.

Honestly I could havemade it a bit bigger but initially I was
going to tie it together or use chain...then changed my mind.

Using a bottle I laid it over it to try to create a shape.

But that made it a bit to wide for my wrist so I changed the bottle for some wire.

I really wanted a metallic look so I painted it black and started adding
some gold, bronze and aged bronze paint.

Again real simple, yet a fun project to create.
And it doesn't use a lot of product!

Snow Much Fun with Paverpol

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today.  It's getting colder each day and you know what that means?  Snow isn't too far away.  So today's project reflects what is sure to come!!

I began by preparing my canvas.  I wanted to create a shadowbox, so I used the reverse side and painted it with gesso.  I spritzed the upper half with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.  Once dry, I added snowflakes by using molding paste through a stencil.

I cut white mesh into two lengths and dunked them in Transparent Paverpol.

After pulling out the mesh, I squeezed it to remove the excess Paverpol.

I placed the mesh along the bottom of the canvas.  Using a pick and my fingers, I moved the mesh around inside the canvas until I was happy with it's placement.  I wanted to create fluffy snow so I added more mesh along the outside of the canvas pulling it until I was happy with how it looked.  I knew that Paverpol would be perfect for my snow scene.

I stamped the snow people then fussy cut them.  For dimension I matted them on black cardstock and fussy cut them again.  Finally, I added some dimensional paint to the scarves and hats to add some color.

Look at all that dimension.  I love how the "snow" flows around the snow couple
